Sponsorships
From working with developers to stream new and upcoming games to promoting gaming apparel and peripherals, there are countless opportunities to connect your content with sponsors. Sponsored Twitch streams are broadcasts where a company compensates a streamer to feature their product, service, or brand. To connect more easily with brands, you can find opportunities in the Sponsorship tab in your Twitch Dashboard.
Types of Sponsorships
There are a variety of ways that brands may want to work with you. Typically these will include a promotion of something in exchange for compensation in the form of payment, merchandise, or promotional support. We have highlighted some of the most common types.
- Product Placements: Showcasing or promoting a product or service.
- Sponsored Gameplay: Streamers play and promote a specific game.
- Streamer-Read Ads: Streamers read branded talking points or promotional messages.
- In-Kind Sponsorships: Streamers receive goods or services in lieu of financial compensation.
- Endorsements: Streamers publicly state their support or recommendation for a product or service.

Selecting Sponsorships
Information on campaigns can be found in the Sponsorships tab. This section will list the sponsorship provider, the rate, and the required deliverables, so you can pick the right opportunity for you. The key is finding a sponsorship that fits you, your brand, and your community. Sponsorships can also occur off of Twitch and if you have preferred ways of working with brands you’re free to do what suits you and your stream best. Never feel you have to compromise yourself or your values to accept an opportunity.
Disclosure
If you publish sponsored or promoted content on Twitch you must use Twitch’s Branded Content tool to disclose the content to viewers and you must promise to ensure the content complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines. Specific disclosure rules for branded content can vary by location, however you should always inform your community when you have been compensated for something that you are showcasing. You should always disclose when items have been gifted to you, even if no payment accompanied them.
