What Analytics Matter

Your analytics will give you a better view of your content’s performance on Twitch. You can review your analytics in your Creator Dashboard.

You can use your analytics to start understanding your community and their preferences as viewers. It’s a great way to plan your growth!

Using Analytics

When using the Analytics page, you will find a wide variety of information that can be used. Whether you are hoping to gain an understanding of viewer traction, viewer location, revenue generated, or conversion of followers, the Analytics page can help.

What Am I Hoping To Grow

Followers
Checking how many followers you gain each stream is a great way to see if the content you are producing is of interest to others.

Viewership
Paying attention to stream by stream average viewership is the best means to analyze how categories are working for you.

Revenue
Comparing subscriber and ad revenue performance across your streams can help determine what content you will continue to create.

When analyzing data by day, weeks, or months you can look closer to determine strategies that will benefit your personal goals:

  • What shows drive the most viewers, revenue, conversion?
    • Are those shows representative of who I am?
    • Can I produce more of those if demanded?
  • What shows impact my growth negatively?
    • Should I pivot away from content that is hurting the growth of my business?
  • What audiences do I share with other broadcasters or categories?
    • Should I become more embedded in those communities as a member to further my saturation?

TWITCH TIP:
The line doesn’t always "Go Up”. Entertainers and businesses experience a rollercoaster when it comes to revenue, viewership and relevancy. Analyzing data in longer time periods can help you make smarter decisions for your stream and where you want to focus your energy.
