Here are a few ways you can build bridges to other communities on Twitch. All of these are proven to help you grow your community in one way or another:
Raids
Raids are a way to send your viewers to another live channel at the end of your stream to introduce your audience to a new channel…while having a little fun along the way. Before you stop streaming, try the /raid command and share a fun message you want your viewers to send in the new channel. We recommend raiding someone you enjoy watching and who has similar viewership numbers. It’s one of the most effective ways to keep your audience growing and engaged, so try it on your next stream. Someone just might raid you back!
Hosting and Autohosting
This one is exactly what it sounds like: Host another channel on your page when you’re not live. Your chat remains your own and lets your viewers check out content you like while you’re offline. We’ve seen that channels who hosted others were more likely to be hosted themselves, helping more viewers get to know you and your channel. While it’s always good to have channels in your autohost list, it is more effective (and fun!) to end your stream with a Raid. You can even set up an autohost list so you don’t have to manually host a channel every time you want to.
Events
TwitchCon and other related events are a great way to meet other creators and connect off stream.
