11th ANNUAL GAME AUDIO NETWORK GUILD AWARD WINNERS ANNOUNCED Interactive Awards Show with Industry Game Composers to air this Sunday, May 12th on Twitch.TV Journey Takes Home 5 Awards!

LOS ANGELES, CA - The Game Audio Network Guild (G.A.N.G.), the non-profit organization dedicated to the advancement and recognition of game audio, is proud to announce the winners of the 11th Annual G.A.N.G. Awards. Voted and judged upon by the game audio industry and members of G.A.N.G., the finalists represent an array of the best audio in video games from 2012. A 75 person Advisory Committee helped in deciding each of the final nominees which included hundreds of hours of research, listening, watching and playing. Over 2,500 people representing over 30 countries have signed up as members of G.A.N.G. since its inception in 2002. The final winners, voted on by the general membership of G.A.N.G., included multiple wins for Journey. Other notable winners included Halo 4, Diablo III, Unfinished Swan and Far Cry 3. The award show has become an annual tradition, drawing standing room only crowds and has become the centerpiece of the audio track at the Game Developers Conference. The entire awards show will be broadcast via TwitchTV starting Sunday, May 12th at 8pm eastern/5pm pacific on the following channel: http://www.twitch.tv/videogameslive. Game composers from around the world will be taking part in the live stream and will be available to answer questions and interact with the viewing audience.
