I have the current RTA/SS record with a time of 1:09:59 (SDA timing).

I run the game on a SNES. The Super Game Boy plays the game faster than normal, so at the end of a run I must multiply my end time by 1.024115 to get the correct time.

SDA timing starts when you gain control of Mario and stops with the final hit on Donkey Kong.

The run is timed in real time. The difference between in-game time and real time matters because certain things you do in levels will freeze the game for a set amount of time. A faster "real time" level will usually look slower when looking at the in-game clock.
