What's a speedrun?

A speedrun is a playthrough of a video game with the intention of completing a goal as quickly as possible.

What's does PB stand for?

Personal Best. It means the best time that I've accomplished so far.

What does any% mean?

It's a speedrun category where the goal is to beat the game as fast as possible with no other constraints. Anything goes.

What's the "cloud"?

The cloud is an item that you can hop in and fly around. I can use a glitch in the very first level to obtain a cloud in my item reserve box at the top of the screen, and then I can use the cloud during the Bowser fight to glitch out Bowser's AI and complete the fight much faster. More info here.

What's the "orb"?

The orb is a glitched item similar to the cloud. You can use it to skip any level, and sometimes I will use it to skip Iggy's Castle in particular. It's not usable to complete Bowser's castle, because if you use it in Bowser's Castle, the game returns you to the overworld rather than playing the end credits. More info here.

What platform are you playing on?

I'm using an actual Super Nintendo with an old-school CRT monitor.
