What is the iQue?

The iQue is the Chinese version of OoT, and since it was released by Nintendo it is a legit version of the game. It is version 1.2 and has similar lag to the virtual console. The Chinese text is faster than any other text version, making it the fastest version to run.

Why aren't you a Twitch Partner? As of right now, I am in a position where I do not need ad revenue or subscription money. Twitch feels like you get a higher quality of stream by paying people to run ads. I disagree, and feel a higher quality stream happens without any ads, so I will never want to run ads on my stream. Additionally, I like this quote: "Work consists of whatever a body is obliged to do. Play consists of whatever a body is not obliged to do." -Mark Twain. I feel like if I were to profitize my stream, it would not be fun for me anymore.

What are you playing on? N64? Gamecube? VC? Emulator? For most individual runs of OoT I will be on the N64 version. For races between other players I will probably be on the VC Version. Majora's Mask I play on the Virtual Console (VC) Wii version. Other games it typically depends if I have the original cart or if I've downloaded it on VC. If I am playing on VC I use this adapter with a modified joystick input to better match the N64 inputs, because I much prefer the N64 controller to the Gamecube one. Sometimes I will also stream on emulator, but this is usually just to test routes or get lots of practice reps in with savestates. For that I have a USB N64 adapter.

How do you stream from your console? I have a capture card from Hauppauge, but you can find cheaper ones. A lot of speedrunners go with an easycap (really cheap, but could have some issues) or a dazzle (like 40-50 bucks and works pretty well). Do some research and find what is best for you if you are looking into streaming.

What counts as 100% in OoT? This is an old definition from Radix. Not much has changed since then. It should be noted that you do not need the maps or compasses, and you do not need the cow in the house. You also do not need the 37th (Child Fortress) Heart Piece. Note that you only need the highest upgrade of something (thus, getting gold scale means you don't need silver scale).

What is a bingo race? A bingo race is something like this. The idea is at the start of a race everyone gets the same bingo board. The players must then make a "bingo" (horizontal, vertical, or diagonal) out of the items on the board. There are several variations of the game: short, normal, long, double (2 bingos), blackout (all 25 squares), and anti (opponent chooses row for you). A board can also be divided between teams of players who must complete the whole board together (team bingo blackout).
