About Burning the Midnight Oil Gaming
While I am casting, I make every effort to interact will all chatters, and I do attempt to greet everyone who posts in the chat room on the stream, as I believe this is one of the most important and most enjoyable aspects of live streaming, compared with just posting videos. You will need a TTV account to post in chat, but it is very simple to set up.
If you like this channel, or any other channel on TTV, there is a follow option just below the stream window. By following a channel, you will receive an E-Mail when that channel begins broadcasting if you choose to. If you are logged on to TTV, your home page will list those channels that are live, as well as have links to archives and highlights of the channel.
Finally, TTV auto-archives videos for a full week after the live cast, so you can see any stream later if you miss it live. However, I now archive nearly all of my streams indefinitely since TTV made the option back in November, 2010, so if there's a game listed below that you'd like to have seen me tackle, it should always be there.
Channel Status
Current Broadcasting Schedule
This channel does not operate on any fixed schedule, although I do enjoy broadcasting and rarely go more than three days between broadcasts. Nearly all of my casts will start between 10:30 PM and 11:30 PST (PDT when applicable), and usually last for about 4 hours. Daytime broadcasts are rare, and usually happen when I am participating in an event, such as a streamed race.
Rules
I'm very lax on rules. As long as the chat stays fairly civil it will most likely be fine with me. however, there are a couple of things that I have to ask of everyone.
1) My link policy is fairly open, and you do not need permission to post links. However, due to a recent increase in spambots, tinyurls or other unrecognizable links will be a T/O unless referenced beforehand. Also, no links to sites with illegal or inappropriate material. Referral links are also not allowed.
2) Please keep spoilers to a minimum. Although I rarely do first play-throughs of games on stream, there are viewers in chat who likely have never seen the game that is being played before, and would not like the game spoiled for them.

VHScrCap - This was the version of VHScrCap I use to stream. It's an older version, but has the bonus of not having the watermark like in the newer versions. However, I now recommend SCFH DSF (linked below), or XSplit, a better product by the same company.
Lunar IPS - A program for applying IPS patches to the games.
ZBattle - A program to help facilitate playing ZSNES (version 1.42 or older) online. While this program is very old, it still has a decent community during the day/evening

SCFH DSF - The current program that I use to stream. Seems to be working very well, and has the added bonus over VHScrCap of allowing me to resize the window even when I use FME Command Line
