Two days after my worst SMB3 run in years, I put in my best SMB1 run in years. I run the entire game without warps and without dying until World 8-3. Maybe if I keep racing this game, I won't always come in last place!

Is it still speedrun practice if I run a game nobody runs, play Deep Scan to earn credits, and let all the campy cutscenes play uninterrupted? Plenty of arrests and a really good lobby section carried me to my first sub-30 run. Ingame time is 16:22, and 14 credits were used.

Let's Set Up Assassin's Creed II

Having previously bought and downloaded Assassin's Creed II on Steam, I decide to test it out. Since Ubisoft fails at PC ports, booting the game for the first time is incredibly complicated. This becomes a race to see if I can finish Mamono Sweeper before I can get Assassin's Creed II on the stream.

I knew Howard Strong was going to throw a LAM at me, and it fell between me and his head, so I shot it out of the air. Of course, the one time I do something cool in this game, my Skype chat was too busy talking about Dreamcast games to notice it. Good thing there's highlights!

Chat Raid Gets Massacred

I respond to a raid by banning 14 chatters in 2 minutes. If the first line you say in my chat is obvious spam, you're probably going to get banned on the spot. Seriously, just let me loose in a tournament stream or some other chat that's so inundated with pointless spam that it's impossible to use. I will ban every asshat until chat is usable again. It's not just my mods that go mad with power, you know.

Rocket Knight Adventures in 46:49

RKA is one of my favorite games, and I tried to race last week, but I couldn't even get past the stage 6 boss. Like most Nintendo Hard games, you have to really learn the game to finish it. I practiced for a week and brought the game back onto the stream to redeem myself. This is a run on the game's default difficulty, Easy, though you can tell it's plenty hard enough. This game's Hard difficulty is an instant Game Over if you get hit once.

Panel de Pon vs. Corderia on Hard

After 35 minutes and 26 continues, I manage to beat Panel de Pon's final boss with some completely accidental chains. Apparently Corderia isn't as difficult as Tetris Attack's Bowser since she doesn't do as many chains. It's my new personal best, beating my best on-stream run by 3 minutes! I forgot to follow my route in a couple places, but a much, much better final Bowser fight made all the difference.

In Assassin's Creed, you can hold RT and A and easily hop from ledge to ledge, even if there's a wall between them. Once inside the building, there's nowhere to go but down.
