Sup, this is NTom64 of HellfireComms. Here you'll find livestreams of video game playthroughs, random online matches and even just streams of me recording footage. What fun!
1) Backseat gaming
I appreciate help on puzzles n' whatnot, but other than that I can do most things myself. If I need advice on how to kill a boss, find an item or where to go next etc., I'll ask for it.
2) General chat behaviour
Be polite and show respect to your fellow chat members as well as the caster. Remember, we're all here to have fun! If you're found to be obnoxious or antagonising to anyone, deliberate or not, you will either be timed-out or banned.
3) Links
You do not have to ask permission to post links, but make sure they're at least Safe For Work (i.e. not anything vulgar) and that you describe what it is you're linking. If you post a link WITHOUT a description, you will be timed out. If you do it again, you'll be banned. Any instances of "rick-rolling" people (i.e tricking them into thinking the link is something different than what it actually is) that aren't humourous (e.g. you link to a screamer) will get you instantly banned.

What type of stuff do you stream?
My genre of choice is the platformer, so you can expect to see a lot of the Mario and Sonic titles on the HFC Livestream. Besides that, there's plenty of misc. Nintendo games like The Legend of Zelda series, Metroid and so on. The only genres you won't see appearing all that much are fighters and FPS's (mostly because I just plain suck at them and there are better Twitch channels for that type of thing anyway).
What's a "Recording Session" and why do you use save states/FAQ's during them?
During Recording Sessions I'm recording footage for my non-commentary channel over on Youtube. I use save states and FAQ's during these sessions to help keep the flow going, and so I can record the best take possible. Then I simply edit out the mistakes later on and stitch together a perfect walkthrough of the game I'm recording. I never use save states and so on during a normal stream, so these recording sessions are a bit of a special case really.
Normal stream: Usually between 2PM and 2AM (GMT time) on any given day of the week.
Marathon stream (charity/other): These have strict start times, and will usually be announced in advance via Twitter or Youtube. Follow us on those respective channels via the buttons below the stream window to stay in the loop!
Regarding ads and ad-breaks:
Ads help to keep the HFC LIvestream running, and as such we shall be taking an ad-break once an hour, so as to help finance the channel. These breaks tend to only last a few minutes or so, and during this we'll be getting drinks/food etc., so you won't miss out on any of the gameplay/commentary.
The only ad that will play DURING a stream is the one that automatically plays when you enter a channel. We apologise in advance for this. If the ads annoy you, or you simply do not wish to support the HFC Livestream, feel free to turn ad-block on. Because of this, any complaints about ads will be met with either a timeout or a ban. You have been given an option - either take it or leave.
(**Ads will not always play, however. If you have ad-block off or have added us to your white list and ads don't appear, don't worry about it**)
