The 26 speedling expand build I use has not been doing well for me lately. After losing to a few 6 pools I became way too passive and I'm not executing the build properly. Once the game escalates to roach wars I typically lose. I need to spend some time examining my ZvZ replays to see how I can improve.
A strange game where I was far too passive for far too long, but it didn't really matter. The Terran player went with a strange banshee build and when his push actually came, he had a rather small army. I had way more infestors than I needed and I even had Ultralisks in time for my counter attack to his base.
It seemed that he just had no real production capability so he could not muster an army capable of attacking me or defending from me.
After losing to a few diamond players and defeating a platinum player, I move up from gold league to platinum league!
I ended up in a brand new division as well, so I was rank 1 for all of 5 minutes before other people started flooding in.
Terran attempts a siege tank + marine push where his tanks are in range of my natural expansion without being easily exposed to defending units. The marines are used for backup, but then he uses them to push up the ramp far from the siege tanks, where my banelings lie in wait.
