Destructoid.com started in 2006 as a little blog created to get its founder, Niero, a ticket to the E3 gaming conference (it worked). Five years later the site has grown to staff over 20 editors across five continents and is now one of the fastest sites on the web to break gaming news. Updated every day, Destructoid publishes over 50 stories non-stop day and night. We're still independently owned and run by friends out of our HQ in San Francisco.

Our Hosts
Have you seen the movie Fight Club? That's basically what Destructoid is. We all live and work out of a big house whose roof will someday cave in and crush us all to death.
Our hosts are Jon Carnage and Pico Mause who also do a show called
Public Access Destructoid, which are wacky skits filmed on location at gaming events. Carnage and Venom also sometimes star as co-hosts our news program

Hell no. If it says live, then we're live.
Where is Jim Sterling / Conrad / Dale / Jordan / Nick Chester?
Elsewhere, actually. Not all of our editors live in the HQ in San Francisco. They do Skype in sometimes or host their own shows.

Destructoid does employ 4 gingers. This might be true, however we will not allow scientists on the premise to test on our editors. They're busy, dammit.

Yes, but you're on your own for child support. We have enough man-children running around at our HQ already.
Are your Mods employees of Dtoid / how can I become a Mod?
Mods are our raddest community members on JTV. Just get involved often and you'll be a mod someday when one of them gets hit by a bus.
How do I get at Destructoid.com? I want to write about games for a living!
Everyone says that, but when we say "so write every day and write well on our community blogs, that's where we hire from" they rarely do. And that's all there is to it. When some dickhead megacorp steals our next writer with their globs of money we look at our best community writers and promote up.
